William Roddington was once a professor at the University of Oregon, where he mentored the three students who later founded Ideltech. He married Virginia Vogel on Nov. 19, 2000. Little is known about his wife.
As of June 2004, he is working as a consultant to Ideltech.
From early April until April 28th, the actor Joseph Palser impersonated the professor as part of an Ideltech employment screening project. The project called for the fake kidnapping of planted applicant Krystal, but Mr. Palser turned out to be a dangerous and mentally ill man. He actually kidnapped Krystal and took her to Phoenix, AZ. Many of Ideltech's prospective employees aided in recognizing that she'd been kidnapped and discovering how she could be found. Mr. Palser escaped during the rescue, but it is believed that the security holes he used to impersonate the professor have been closed. These included the professor's IM account(s) and blog.
During the pre-game employment screening, Ideltech faked evidence of possible foul play involving Mrs. Roddington. A blood-stained car registered to her was placed in an overgrown field of marijuana plants. Melody Heller discovered the car while investigating rumors of an accident or crime.
